Salem Lutheran Church is seeking a part-time (four hours per week) Sunday Children’s Sunday School Coordinator to manage volunteers and oversee curriculum.

Salem has approximately 80 members.

*About Sunday School*
Salem Lutheran Church’s Sunday school is comprised of children ages 4-10.
Sunday School takes place during weekly worship, 10:00-11:30 a.
m.
*Essential duties*
* Recruits, trains, and coordinates Sunday School volunteers
* Coordinates with the pastor to ensure continuity between Sunday School and worship
* Focuses on the growth of Salem’s Sunday School program
* Communicates with parents, volunteers, and congregation
* Oversees curriculum ensuring Lutheran theology is taught and fostered
* Manages and monitors Sunday School classroom behavior to ensure a safe environment
* Participates in Education Committee (non-voting member)
*Qualifications*
* High school diploma or GED
* Experience managing volunteers
* Experience in lesson planning
* Excellent communication skills
* Excellent time-management skills
* Experience working with children of various needs
* Proficiency with Google Suite
* Familiarity with the Lutheran faith
* Current Lutheran membership preferred
* Experience successfully managing a budget preferred
* _Must be able to pass a criminal background check_
