Montessori Assistant Preschool Teacher

The Spokane Falls Montessori School is looking for an assistant teacher to work from approximately 9:30 am to 5:30 pm in the preschool/Kindergarten program, Monday through Friday.
We are looking for someone who can add to our amazing team of teachers.
This person should be professional, kind, able to multitask, and be dependable.
Child care experience is required but do not let a lack of Montessori training stop you from applying--we will train the right person! The core responsibilities will include building genuine relationships with children and families and providing consistency in care and routines.
Other responsibilities will include light cleaning, diapering, assisting with mealtimes, and nap times.

Qualifications: The Teacher Shall: * Be at least 18 years of age or older and be of good character; * Have a criminal background check; * Have the required (or willing to obtain promptly) first aid, food handlers, CPR and BBP training, and TB Test; COVID-19 or exemption; * Be willing to work as part of a team to help students achieve the developmental and learning goals of the Montessori program; * Be able to build genuine and respectful relationships with each child and family in your care.
*Responsibilities* The Teacher Shall: * Support the lead teacher in implementing a quality Montessori program; * Become familiar with the Montessori philosophy by reading relevant and assigned materials; * Maintain a current MERIT profile and attend STARS trainings regularly; * Maintain a positive and professional working environment; * Use positive discipline techniques at all times; * Be a good role model for children, doing nothing that you would not like to see them imitate; * Use a soft voice and walk carefully through the school at all times; * Have fun and enjoy being with children! Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $16.
75 - $18.
