This position is part of the ECEAP and Family Services team.
Reporting directly to the ECEAP Program Manager, this position is accountable for compliance with Community Colleges DCYF ECEAP contract obligations and Community-Minded Enterprises policies within the ECEAP program.
The ECEAP Aide is to support the Lead and Assistant Teacher with daily classroom operations that follow ECEAP Standards and WAC, documenting daily in TSG, implementation of Creative Curriculum, and Conscious Discipline.
Aides must be present during all child direct service hours and help maintain the 1:10 ratio.
This is a benefited full-time position with an hourly rate of $16.
35, paid out bi-weekly.
Classes run Monday through Thursday, 6.
5 hours a day.
August 1st to June 30th.

*How You’ll Contribute:*
* Be present during all classroom hours to support Lead and Assistant Teachers with daily classroom operations.
* Monitor and oversee safe, healthy, and appropriate food handling and service per ECEAP Performance Standards, USDA requirements, and Early Achievers Quality standards, guide family-style meals, and teach children how to self-serve.
* Have knowledge of Creative Curriculum to implement small group activities and lesson plans provided by the Lead Teacher.
* Assist the Lead Teacher in designing and maintaining the physical learning environment to reflect the culture of children, families, staff, and community and to meet individual and group needs based on the WAC, ECEAP Performance Standards, and Early Achievers quality standards.
* Track challenging behaviors and create behavior plans in partnership with the ECEAP team when needed (ECEAP is a no-expulsion/ no-punishment facility).
* Responsible for daily classroom clean-up, ongoing sanitation and restocking of materials, and upkeep of first aid kits in compliance with WAC.
*Requirements:*
* At least a current Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA) awarded by the Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition is preferred or interested in obtaining Education in Early Childhood Development.
* Classroom/childcare experience, _ECEAP teaching experience preferred_.
* Current Child and Adult CPR/ first aid certificate (Hands-on); Current Bloodborne Pathogens certification (Must be completed annually); Current Washington State Department of Health Food Worker Card
* Valid driver’s license and insurance and MERIT Portable Background Check
* Tested negative on the Mantoux tuberculosis (TB) skin test in the past 12 months, Copy of MMR immunization.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.
_Being bilingual/biliterate in Ukrainian, Russian, or Pashto is a plus_.
* Ability to work with children affected by trauma with high ACES scores, with challenging behavior, and with children with developmental delays, IEPs, or other special needs.
* Intermediate-level skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database entry and/or management.
_Knowledge of MERIT, ELMS, Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies, and Gold data systems is preferred.

* Ability to accept supervision and strength-based mentorship from Lead Teacher.
