We are a small non-profit inclusive preschool looking for dynamic individuals to provide one to one behavior intervention to children with Developmental Disabilities.
The position helps children to develop new skills with effective coping skills and positive behavior techniques to reduce maladaptive behaviors.
Skills are taught from the following life areas: Social and Emotional Development, Gross & Fine Motor Skills, Communication, Self-Help Skills, Community Safety Skills and other necessary Activities of Daily Living.
We work closely in a team-oriented atmosphere.
We have a need to serve ages 3 to 8 years.
Ideal candidates would be available to work within the hours of 8 to 530 M-F.
Some part time options avaialbe from 3 to 530 M-F
The ideal candidate would possess the following experience and qualities:
* The ability to communicate effectively with peers, clients and families
* The ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
* The ability to ethically complete required program documentation and data collection
* Accepts feedback and seeks to improve skills and knowledge
* The ability to provide therapy in the home, community, or preschool
* Can provide intervention that is significant to the client
*MUST HAVE* Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Child Development, or Education, and one year's experience with at least 1040 hours direct care to children ages 0-21.
Must be able to pass a Background check.
Must be willing to transport and have valid ID and insurance.
