*Job Title:* 4-H Positive Youth Development (PYD) Art Instructor *Job Summary:* As a 4-H PYD Youth Instructor, your primary goal will be to conduct STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) programming with an emphasis on visual arts.
You will teach, lead, and facilitate hands-on STEM and art activities to underserved youth, aiming to increase their educational opportunities and spark their interest in these fields.
In addition to conducting STEAM programming, you will also be responsible for data collection, community outreach, and networking.
*This is an 8.
5-month position where you will commit an average of 26 hours weekly to service.
* *Key Responsibilities:* * Teach visual arts and STEM classes to school groups and other visiting youth * Teach seasonal children’s art workshops * Run crafts/STEAM activities at events and fundraisers * Lead art and STEM drop-in activities * Greet youth and families for drop-in Art and STEM * Help youth find supplies and give project ideas as needed * Stock art supplies * Encourage drop-in clients to clean up after their project * Clean at the end of the day * Collect data, conduct community outreach, and network with community partners * Expand your experience in education curriculum development, education presentation, and other professional skills * Spend 60% of your time in front of students teaching * Prepare and practice lessons *Requirements:* * 17 years or older * U.

national lawful permanent resident * Able to clear the National Service Criminal History Checks * Willing to travel, must have a valid driver's license * Self-motivated and able to work independently *Schedule:* * Monday-Friday * 9:00am-5:00pm or 10:00am-6:00pm * One weekend day per week, if possible but schedule is flexible *Example Topics Taught During Service:* * Wildlife & Water Habitats * Explorers of the Deep 4-H STEM Challenge *Benefits:* * Member Living Allowance $12,000.
