SHS is hiring for a Life Skills SEC teacher.
This postion will include teaching Life Skills students, supervising paraprofessionals, and supporting community living skills.
The salary range for the 2023/24 school year was $47,477 - $65,408, depending on applicable years of experience.
These amounts will be updated for the 2024-25 school year once the salary matrix is approved.
There are stipends available for education levels at Bachelor's + 24 credits, Master's Degree, Doctorate Degree and National Board Certification.
The full-year contract is for 190 days.
New teachers to LPOSD are paired with a Mentor Teacher during your first year of employment, assisting you in establishing yourself in the profession and the District.
Instructional Coaches are available to all Teachers for curriculum implementation, and Professional Development is routinely available.

Minimum Qualifications
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, Idaho Teaching Credential with endorsement for Exceptional Child Generalist (K-12)
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents/guardians and other stakeholders
- Ability to utilize classroom instructional technology
