*INSTRUCTOR* The Corporate & Continuing Education (CCE) department at the Community Colleges of Spokane is actively searching for professionals to instruct Home Care Aide trainings at one or more of our program locations in Colville, Pullman, and Spokane, WA.

Flexibility is required as classes may be taught in the morning, afternoon, evening, and/or weekends.
_Most scheduling_ occurs within the time frame of 7:00am-5:00pm on weekdays, but weekend work is possible.
This is an Adjunct (part-time) academic position and is contracted as needed.
For adjunct instructors, compensation will be pro-rated according to the amount of workload assigned.
*Qualifications vary - Please review the below carefully (If you have relevant experience you likely qualify - we encourage diversity of experience in our instructors.
)* · If you have a High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of professional or care giving experience _within the last 5 years_ in a long term care community setting (CNA, Caretaker, Home Care Aide) you qualify.
* or · If you have an AA Degree or higher in health or human services and 6 months of care giving experience within the last 5 years in long-term care community setting you qualify.
* or · If you have an active Washington state RN license in good standing with work experience within the last 5 years with clients of long term care community setting you qualify.
_Experience with Zoom, Microsoft Office (Outlook, One Drive, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
_ *CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT* * Contract position.
* Must fulfill DSHS Adult Education Certificate.
* Must review program curriculum and complete observation of Basic Training 70 prior to instructing.
* Must complete DSHS Community Instructor Application * Requires local or regional travel.
If using personal vehicle proof of driver's license and car insurance required.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* · Work is performed in indoor temperature controlled office environment, and outdoor uncontrolled elements.
· Frequent use of computer and exposure to terminal screens.
· Frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation.
· Frequent oral and auditory communication with others.
· Frequent kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and twisting.
· Move up to 25 lbs.

· Occasional exposure to fumes, dust, odors and/or biohazards.

· Be available via phone or email for program updates and communication · Comprehend and follow COVID-19 safety protocols.
· The ability to perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations and goals of the institution, community and technical college system.
· A demonstrated understanding and value for the contributions that a diverse workforce can make to the success of the organization and the students we serve.
· Assignments can include distance education modes of instruction.
Support and advance the CCS strategic plan, and perform other duties as assigned.
· Job Types: Part-time, Contract · Pay: $33.
16 per hour · Adjunct faculty must work two (2) consecutive quarters at 50% or more of full time academic load in order to qualify for benefits (based on instructional hours only).
· Co-instruction will be required prior to instructing first solo training.
