MMP Mechanical Engineering Intern (Summer 2024)

Position Overview: The Novelis Spokane team is seeking an MMP Mechanical Engineering Intern.
The person in this role will report to the MMP Mechanical Engineering Leader.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the global equipment mapping initiative.
This position will gather and organize technical data relating to regional and global production equipment via various plant contacts and mentors in MMP.
The role offers between $21 - $26 hourly.
Responsibilities & Qualifications: Responsibilities: Communicates with global resources and plant personnel.
Collects and organizes key data in an accessible database.
Investigates potential software for presenting, referencing, and maintaining the database.
Minimum Qualifications: Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in Engineering at an ABET-accredited university Preferred Qualifications: Organization skills Written and verbal communication skills Attention to detail CAD software experience Microsoft Office experience #LI-JK1 #LI-Hybrid Location Profile: Novelis’ Spokane facility also known as the Molten Metal Processing Group (MMP) is located along the eastern border of Washington and Idaho.
Employing approximately 40 people the facility focuses on innovating new products and processes to support Novelis’ manufacturing facilities along with the Novelis Global Research and Technology Center located in Kennesaw Georgia.
Located halfway between artistic downtown Spokane and the scenic city of Coeur d’Alene Idaho residents and visitors of the area enjoy an abundance of both indoor and outdoor activities.
