Recreation Superintendent

*The City of Coeur d'Alene is looking for a dynamic Recreation Superintendent to join the Parks & Recreation Team!* The Recreation Superintendent performs administrative and supervisory duties to implement and coordinate youth and adult recreation programs, events, and activities.
This position manages the day-to-day operations of the City recreation program as well as long-term planning.
The position prepares the program's annual budget and monitors spending to implement the budget.
The Recreation Superintendent supervises fulltime, part-time, and seasonal employees.
The work schedule includes evening and weekends.
The position is under the direct supervision of the Parks and Recreation Director with considerable leeway for independent judgment and initiative, especially in the day-to-day operations.
The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in recreation or a related field and three years working in the public recreation field.
CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
The position works in a public building and outdoor environment with exposure to adverse weather conditions.
This position has contact with the public under occasional stressful and emotional conditions.
