Summary: The Operations Maintenance Technician will be responsible for operations, construction and store maintenance and repair duties.
Responsibilities will include maintaining green spaces, identifying the need for repairs, responding to homeowner’s maintenance requests, and servicing company equipment.
To be effective in this role, the Operations Maintenance Technician will be extremely organized, possess great communication skills, detail orientated with an aptitude for problem solving.
Additionally, the Operations Maintenance Technician will possess outstanding problem-solving abilities and will apply technical maintenance knowledge to trouble-shoot and diagnose basic to intermediate maintenance tasks and repairs.
This is a high-energy position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Perform basic maintenance tasks including painting and patch repair, and cleaning facilities.
Manage, record, and report maintenance repairs.
Coordinate or facilitate ordering and delivery of materials for maintenance, events or construction needs as instructed.
Performs general maintenance repairs that do not require a specialized sub-contractor.
Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, caulking, plumbing, toilets, sinks, carpentry, repairing doors and door locks.
Perform repairs on company machinery, equipment, or appliances.
(Example: plate compactor, landscape tools, trucks, kitchen, and washroom appliances) Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs for HFH-S store and HFH-S administrative office facilities.
Regularly check common spaces to identify issues with litter, HVAC or electrical failures, landscape irrigation and water systems for the HFH-S store and HFH-S administrative office facilities.
Assist with repair, maintenance, and construction related tasks on HFH-S job sites when needed.
Respond to HFH-S homeowner maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Repair or coordinate repair for plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
Maintain the cleanliness of outside spaces such as parking lots and sidewalks of store, offices, and jobsite facilities.
Oversee the sprinkler system and trash containers on the company premises.
Attends Habitat-Spokane events as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Coordination of subcontractors, tools, and equipment necessary to construct the assigned Habitat for Humanity-Spokane home.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
