Job Description: The primary responsibility of the position is management of defaulted loans and REO assets in our loan servicing portfolio.
The position would also assist with some other servicing tasks, such as Construction Draws, Pre-Foreclosure Loss Mitigation, and Insurance Tracking.
Responsibilities: 1.
Work with outside attorneys to begin and manage foreclosures (initiate new files, gather documents, maintain tracking, hold attorneys to promised timelines) 2.
Communicate with lenders regarding defaulted loan options, active foreclosures; provide at least weekly progress updates 3.
Communicate with borrowers and work towards loan “work outs” (whether that be foreclosure, deed in lieu of foreclosure, loan modifications, etc.
) 4.
Track defaulted loan portfolio statistics 5.
Periodically present updates to Fund Managers 6.
Manage payment of invoices, costs tracking, and all other administrative aspects of defaulted loan portfolio 7.
Communicate with real estate agents, contractors, inspectors, and other professionals who assist with the pre foreclosure, foreclosure, and REO process 8.
Review and update (and create where necessary) existing policies/procedures for pre-foreclosure, foreclosure, and REO management In addition to the tasks described above, the Asset Manager/Loss Mitigation Manager may also have an opportunity to engage in business development, and to bring in new clients and build our lender servicing.
Requirements: Excellent project management skills.
Must be detailed oriented and able to work independently with consistency and discipline.
Requires strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well with all employees, contractors, and vendors.
