A large personal injury law firm seeks a full-time litigation paralegal to assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including trial.
This position will also assist in pre-litigation and other areas as needed.
We are willing to train the right candidate.
Compensation:
$24 - $28 per hour
Responsibilities:
Communicating with clients and keeping them informed about their case
Calendaring and monitoring deadlines
Reminding the supervising attorney of upcoming tasks and deadlines
Drafting legal documents (e.
g.
affidavits, declarations, complaints and summons, initial disclosures, discovery requests, expert disclosures, motions, notices, etc.
)
Coordinating and properly noticing depositions and other litigation events
Preparing for and assisting with trial
Researching laws, case law, and court rules
Qualifications:
The paralegal should have excellent customer service skills
High level of attention to detail is required
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
