Cohort state Dates: February 12, 2024 April 8, 2024 June 3, 2024 July 29, 2024 September 23, 2024 Qualifications • High School Diploma/GED Required • 18 years of age or older • Previous patient care or customer service experience preferred • Nursing Assistant Registered Licensure is to be obtained from the Department of Health within 4 weeks of hire.
MultiCare will reimburse for this cost.
• CPR Certification is to be obtained within 2 weeks of hire.
MultiCare will pay for this cost.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Maintain patient confidentiality • Perform duties as assigned in an accurate and timely manner • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills • Decisions regarding patient care or services require review and approval of RN • The ability to work as a team and independently • Dealing with bodily fluids, and the possibility of working around those with contagious diseases • Demonstrates initiative, problem solving ability, adaptability, and flexibility • Adhere to standards and procedures of the organization • Work and communicate within a professional manner • This position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift • Maintain regular and consistent attendance • Working in a hospital setting does require the possibility of working weekends and holidays Pay & Benefits: This is a paid, benefits eligible position.
Benefits are effective on the first of the month following 30 days of employment at MultiCare.
Program Details: • The Nursing Assistant Registered to Nursing Assistant Certified (CNA) Program is a 7 week course (depending on holiday closures).
Students who miss class twice are subject to removal from the program.

MultiCare will pay the cost of the following items: • CNA courses in partnership with Sparrow Healthcare Education • Nursing Assistant Registered Licensure • CPR Certification • Nursing Assistant Certified Licensure (First attempt only) Supplies: For classroom instruction you will need: • Scrubs (also needed for clinical instruction) • Blood pressure cuff • Watch • Proper Shoes Program Schedule: If extended an offer, the schedule during the training program will be: • Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (8-hour shifts, 80 hour paychecks) • The schedule for training would be 20 hours of class time/20 hours of clinical time, the last week of the program will be 40 hours of clinicals.
• A detailed schedule will be given a week prior to the start date.
After Training: • Once training is completed and licensure has been obtained your schedule will change to 12-hour shifts (three days a week).

Position Summary The Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse to provide quality care that is focused on the comfort and well being of the patient and family.
Functions include basic patient care activities and customer service-oriented delivery of care to patients as defined by the nursing assistant skills competency evaluation checklist.
This position requires a service-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills for the purpose of supporting the delivery of care and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groups.
Independent decision-making is expected in the execution of daily routine duties.
Decisions regarding patient care or services require the review and approval of the Registered Nurse.
Internal contact may include patient care, Laboratory, and Pharmacy staff and management.
External contacts include physicians, patients, families, and visitors.
