edu "inquiries only" Position Details Job Summary The College of Health Science & Public Health at Eastern Washington University is currently seeking tenure track faculty, open rank ranging from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor.
Appointment rank will depend on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
The position is expected to start on August 16, 2024.
Assistant and Associate Professors are full-time, tenure-track faculty who are responsible for teaching in classroom, clinical, laboratory, and simulated learning environments.
Tenure track faculty teach theory and clinical courses in the nursing program; mentor student research; serve on department, college, university and professional committees; conduct research for publication, grant acquisition and presentation; participate in outreach to the community; and demonstrate teaching excellence, professional growth and service.
Faculty follow all guidance from the collective bargaining agreement regarding their position.
Additionally, all faculty are expected to actively participate in assessment of student learning and to engage in effective teaching.
The College of Health Science and Public Health is housed in a state-of-the-art facility located in the downtown University District in Spokane, Washington.

Job Duties % of Time 100 Responsibility / Duty A Faculty Activity Plan will be developed by the end of the first semester of the selected candidate’s appointment, and will consist of a combination of teaching, research, service and/or release time to perform administrative duties, as negotiated and as needed to meet the business needs of the department.
Teaching: typical workload for this position will involve 24 credits per academic year (80% of the workload), subject to department needs.
This position will teach Nursing courses in classroom, clinical, laboratory, and simulated learning environments.
Teaching includes the following additional responsibilities as defined in the faculty CBA: Meet all scheduled classes Plan, organize and inform students of course content, texts, readings, assignments, attendance expectations and methods of evaluation including grading scales Schedule and attend office hours Turn in grades according to established deadlines Additionally, all faculty are expected to engage in effective teaching and assessment of student learning.
