Job Description
In this exciting role, you are responsible for the supervision of our employment/housing program at Compass Career Solutions.
Your key priorities include supervising, mentoring, and training of staff and ensuring all aspects of the program are developed, implemented, coordinated, marketed, and monitored to the highest degree possible.
Additional tasks include:
Maintains an accurate record of client services and other required processes.
Ensures contracts are in alignment with requirements along with having an in-depth knowledge of contracts (developmental disabilities, mental health, substance abuse).
Flexibility in providing services and accommodating schedule changes to meet the needs of the individual’s services and staff is required.
Maintains and coordinates an accurate record of staff orientations, training, and development.
Identifies and discusses with staff changes that may be needed.
Participate in meetings with contractor and community partners for updates, plan reviews, and outcomes.
Participate in community and network meetings (Developmental Disability Advisory Board Meetings, Adult Service Provider Meetings, Work Source, Disability Access Team, Transit Authority, Chamber of Commerce, etc.
)
Performs outreach to include creating, developing, and securing partnerships in the community through relationships with local employers, landlords, and shelters.
Provides direct client services as needed.
Market Compass Career Solutions to attract new customers.
Assists staff with the coordination of schedules and time management.
Supports the scheduling of assessments and quarterly meetings.
Tracks the completion of required reports and materials in the database and guides meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
MUST HAVE:
Two years of related experience working with people with barriers to employment or housing.
Two years of supervisory experience
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in social services or related field; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Information
SKILLS CRITICAL FOR SUCCESS:
The director will possess competency in basic knowledge of job and housing development, networking, and building community.
Professional written and verbal communication
The Director should have the ability to work independently in the community, while also being a strong collaborator and advocate.
In this role, personal accountability, and responsibility along with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills are a must.
This role requires a valid driver’s license, insurance, and vehicle transportation.
