We encourage you to consider joining our knowledgeable staff today while enjoying a friendly work-life balance! *JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * * Greet and interact with customers * Organize and effectively merchandise items for sale * Consult with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise * Assist customers with purchase decisions; Demonstrate and explain merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customers’ needs * Utilize customer-focused selling skills, add-on selling, closing skills, and other sales generating skills * Accurately complete sales using the point-of-sale system according to established procedures * Process returns and exchanges * Monitor all merchandise for correct location assignments, accurate and clean bin labels, expired products, and stock rotation * Assist customers by loading and unloading products as needed * Maintain product stock in the store and warehouse * Assemble products and displays * Dispense propane and kerosene * Safely operate a forklift and pallet jack * Maintain a safe and clean work environment * Practice punctual and reliable attendance * Exhibit an ability to get along with others * Perform other duties as assigned *JOB REQUIREMENTS* * High school diploma (or equivalent) * Possess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record * Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment * Proficiency using Microsoft Windows * Physical ability to stand for extended periods; bend, stoop and kneel frequently * Lift, carry and load 60 pounds (minimum) weight requirements * Professional appearance and demeanor * Proven track record of being dependable and reliable * Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with co-workers and customers * Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills * Commitment to excellence & high standards especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service * Experience working in a retail setting preferred * Product knowledge in one or more of the following areas preferred: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, horse/equine, hardware, fencing, lawn & garden supplies, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, or wild bird supplies.
*SCHEDULE* This is a part time position; 16 – 32 hours per week (schedule may vary).
Sunday through Saturday.
Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
*COMPENSATION & BENEFITS* $16.
80 - $19.
80/hour.
A wage will be further discussed during the interview process.
