edu Position Details Job Summary Eastern Washington University is currently seeking a Director of Marketing.
This professional position works in the Advancement division, serving under the Associate Vice President of University Relations, and manages a team of experienced marketing, creative and digital professionals.
The Director of Marketing & Creative Services is responsible for oversight of all marketing timelines, digital communications and advertising campaigns while stewarding the university’s brand and reputation.
This position will be key to increasing visibility and awareness of EWU on campus, in the surrounding community, and nationally to impact prestige, recognition, and donor and philanthropic gifts.

Pre-Placement Physical No Hearing Test No Medical Monitoring Post Hire No Protective Equipment Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field is required.
Minimum 5 year’s experience in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Marketing Communications with a strong emphasis on digital marketing skills, including experience with SEO, SEM, social media advertising and other relevant digital channels.
Minimum of five years leadership experience required, including mentoring, coaching and/or developing employees within a higher education setting.
Understanding of marketing management, project oversight, budget management, efficiency management and project intake processes Proficiency in modern marketing technology tools and platforms, such as marketing automation systems, CRM software (Salesforce), and data analytics tools.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
Proficiency in marketing content, emphasizing the importance of creating and distributing valuable, relevant content in multiple formats.
(email, web, print) understanding of user experience principles, especially in the context of digital design and online campaigns understanding digital compliance, privacy regulations, and ensuring the security of digital assets, especially in online campaigns and data management.
Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills required, including maintaining positive relationships and excellent customer service skills.
Ability to adapt to changes and prioritize and manage competing demands.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret data and understand and communicate complex and diverse information, and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of department heads, clients, and the general public.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations exercising flexibility and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to make practical and timely decisions and explain reasoning for decisions.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Preferred Qualifications Understanding of the higher education market including varied enrollment lines.
Graduate degree.
7+ years of marketing and leadership experience, including relationship building.
Familiarity with AP Style.
Other Skills and Abilities Work Schedule Type Regular Work Schedule Typically, 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday.
